Mar 01,  · The Dave Clark Five did a decent version of the Contours' "Do You Love Me". But frankly, I don't need to hear Diana (nor the DC 5) do these songs. If this album seems a bit contrived, wait til you hear Diana belt out "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds" on "The Supremes Sing Country Western And Pop" lp. Soon to come in /5(4).

bezogen auf A Bit Of Liverpool, LP, Album, MT This was album was my introduction to the Supremes and the Beatles. My fondest memory of this LP was the German pressing on CBS Records and the cover with the ladies in their green suits and bowler hats/5(92).

Sep 05,  · A World Without Love: by this far superior recording. This is a gentle, romantic Lennon-McCartney tune originally made famous by Peter and Gordon (interestingly, it was never released by The Beatles), and it also topped the UK chart.

" A World Without Love " is a song recorded by the British duo Peter and Gordon and released as their first single in February It was included on the duo's debut album in the UK, and in the US on an album of the same name. The song was written by Paul McCartney and attributed to Lennon–McCartney.

was the banner year for Supremes albums IMO. The WHERE DID OUR LOVE GO album featured their first two No. 1 hits as well as a couple of failed earlier singles and some choice album cuts. Also released in ’64, A BIT OF LIVERPOOL was recorded to cash in on the British Invasion craze and the girls do a terrific job interpreting this material/5(9).
